Chalet Amethyste...
Skiers can head straight to the slopes from this modern chalet, before relaxing in the outdoor swim spa, surrounded by pine trees, after a day in the mountains, completely isolated.
The Communailles ski lift is just 700m from Chalet Amethyste, and the Bettex ski lifts are only a 15-minute from the Nordic Ski slopes. Access to the shuttle bus is also possible 200 metres away. This is the starting point for several downhill and cross-country ski runs.
After all this activity, head to the thermal baths of Saint-Gervais, for relaxation, treatments and massages. The village also has an ice rink, a casino and a leisure centre.
Outside the winter season, you can explore the extensive network of cycling and walking trails that criss-cross this beautiful region. Just a 30-minute drive away, Lake Passy is the perfect place to go swimming, with Mont Blanc as a backdrop.
You won’t need a car to stay at Chalet Amethyste as Saint-Gervais station is connected to the Bettex district by a cable car. The shuttle bus stops 200m from the chalet.
About the property…
Chalet Amethyste is a new chalet built according to traditional methods by a local carpenter and joiner. The chalet can accommodate up to 10 guests, with five en-suite bedrooms.
The garden level has three double bedrooms, each with a shower room with washbasin and toilet. One of them has a dressing room and all of them open onto the garden, where you'll find the swim spa (a hot tub at one end and counter-current swim area at the other) and the pétanque court during summer. This floor also has a TV room with a comfortable sofa.
The ground floor is dedicated to a large open-plan living area, bordered on two sides by a terrace. At one end an L-shaped sofa and comfortable armchair are arranged around the wood-burning stove, and the large dining table is at the other end. Doors open onto the terrace, where you can enjoy views across the trees to the mountains beyond. The modern kitchen has all the equipment you will need to cook for your group, as well as a breakfast bar where you can grab a snack before heading out for the day.
On the first floor is a children's area with books and board games, as well as desks for remote working and a water-filled rowing machine. There's a bedroom with two single beds and a shower room, as well as a master bedroom with a dressing room, a bathroom with a shower, bath, toilet and double washbasin, and a private balcony.
On the practical side, you will find separate toilets on both upper floors of Chalet Amethyste. The property also has a ski room with heated boot dryers, a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and two outdoor parking spaces.

Saint-Gervais, at the foot of Mont Blanc between Megève and Chamonix, is a traditional village combining heritage, nature, and wellness. Renowned for its thermal baths fed by soothing natural springs, it attracts families and guests seeking relaxation. Its lively centre, local shops, and Belle Époque architecture make it a charming destination, perfect for discovering the Mont-Blanc region.
In winter, skiers of all ages and abilities can enjoy the varied slopes in the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area, which offers 400km of runs across Megève, Combloux, Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce and Les Contamines. The Mont-Blanc glaciers provide a breathtaking backdrop, and experienced skiers can try the legendary Vallée Blanche descent from Chamonix. Other activities to try include snowshoeing, sledding, ice skating, and high-altitude hikes.
During the rest of the year, visitors flock to Saint-Gervais for its remarkable natural environment. Lake Passy, just a few minutes away, offers swimming, paddleboarding, and pedal boating. The Mont-Blanc Multipass provides reduced price access to summer lifts and activities in the area. Up to 10 guests can enjoy the perfect blend of superb facilities and an unspoilt setting at Chalet Amethyste, a contemporary property on the edge of a forest. Although it is surrounded by nature, it is easily accessible without a car, thanks to its proximity to the cable car that connects the ski slopes and Saint-Gervais station.
We love the comfort of the five en-suite bedrooms – the master suite on the upper floor, with its dressing room, full bathroom and private balcony, is a haven of comfort for parents. Nearby is a room with two single beds which is ideal for children.
Younger guests will also appreciate the play room, with games, books and desks as well as a water-filled rowing machine.
The large living room opens onto the wraparound terrace with views over the fir trees. And after a meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, you can gather on the large sofa in front of the wood-burning stove or watch a film in the separate TV room.
A holiday at Chalet Amethyste promises to be full of memorable moments, thanks to the pétanque court and the superb swim spa – a hot tub at one end and a counter-current swimming area at the other.
